I just started looking for info on okie food, the dust bowl, etc and came across your website. As I was reading about the lake in the golden hills, the cellar restaurant I realized you are writing about the place where I live. What a coincidence!!

I have been on the SCD for 14 mos., now for treating ulcerative colitis. If I don’t screw up on the diet, I am fine and in unmedicated remission. I know that heavy cream is illegal on the SCD but I do find I have no problems when I have it. I understand it is extremely low in lactose, and perhaps that is why. I am nervous I am pushing my luck by having it, tho.

Anybody else noticed this with UC on SCD?

ohhhhhhh Pickle is the most adorable thing, ever. Last year we put our (small white) dog in a skunk costume, but this year we had mercy on her. No costume. I love Pickle the Spider tho.

Thanks! Have a toddler with recently-discovered wheat/gluten sensitivites and was trying to figure out what on earth I could bring to his day care Halloween party (we usually grab something from the grocery bakery … that obviously isn’t going to work anymore) … we are definitely making these!
